Furrl is a funded early stage startup building the next generation of lifestyle e-commerce through a clutter-breaking discovery platform for new-age brands. We are attacking the 100 billion dollar D2C market in India by creating a one stop shop for consumers to discover, validate and purchase these lakhs of independent brands and creators in India, in a way that is personalized and effective at scale.

At the helm of Furrl is our Founder, a highly accomplished professional with an educational background from prestigious institutions such as IIT Kanpur and Harvard Business School. With a wealth of experience in building successful businesses from scratch, both within startups and large corporations like Myntra and ITC, our Founder has a proven track record of driving innovation and growth. Most recently, she was Partner at Entrepreneur First, an early stage VC that she launched in India, where she mentored over 300 entrepreneurs and built a portfolio of 42 startups in the country.

Location: HSR Layout, Bangalore

Responsibilities

  • Payment/Accounts Payables:
  • Manage end-to-end brand payments including calculation of all fees, reconciliations and disbursements, ensure on-time payments.
  • Reconcile Vendor/Seller payments, ensuring alignment with sales and order data.
  • Address discrepancies and liaise with Vendor/Sellers to resolve payment issues.
  • Vendor/Seller Management:
  • Periodic reconciliation of all Vendor/Seller partners, ensuring accurate and timely record reporting.
  • Validate invoices, ensuring compliance with audit and statutory. requirements, and facilitate timely Vendor/Seller payments.
  • Reconcile Vendor/Seller statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with Vendors/Sellers to address outstanding issues and develop long lasting relationships.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis related to Vendor/Seller payments, identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in financial roles, preferably within the e-commerce sector.
  • Strong understanding of reconciliation processes, financial reporting, and analysis.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and tools, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Self-starter with high ownership qualities.
